OLNEY COUPLE ARRESTED

On Thursday at 8:12am, the Olney Police Department received a complaint related to a 5-year-old student who brought cannabis to a pre-school in Olney.  During the investigation, the officers found cannabis, THC dabs and rolling papers in a child's clear backpack.  Staff at daycare stated there were students ranging from the age of 3 to 5 years old present at the time the cannabis was found in the backpack.

As a result of this investigation, the officers met with the Richland County States Attorney's Office and a search warrant was granted for the parent’s residence.  The Olney Police Department and the Richland County Sheriff's Office conducted a search of the residence at 1:17pm.

The search warrant was conducted and Jason L. Frederick, 44 of Olney and Kristin N. Boland, 43 of Olney, were both arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Endangering the Life or Health of a Child.
