SENTENCING SET FOR THURSDAY

2/26/25

Aydreian Hooper, 37, of Fairfield is set for sentencing tomorrow morning for the hot car death of her 17-month-old son.

In December, Hooper entered a guilty plea to a Class-3 felony charge of child endangerment causing the death of her son.  In return for the plea, charges of involuntary manslaughter of a family member, reckless conduct causing bodily harm and child endangerment will be dropped.

Because the offense caused the death of her child, Hooper faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

She was released from custody after entering a guilty plea and was fitted with a GPS monitoring device.

Hooper’s was arrested on July 14th of last year when temperatures soared above 90 degrees.  Aaruan’s brother, Gage Hooper Gonzales was also left in the hot car and received a severe brain injury.
