COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT 2/17/25 Sheriff Andy Myers
released the following: On January 5, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Clifford R. Cochran, 59, of Olney,
for Speed too fast for condition as a result of a traffic stop in the area of
Highway 50 and Ginger Road in Flora. On January 9, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Dalton R. Utley, 33, of Noble, for
Disregarding Traffic Control Light as a result of a traffic stop in the area of
Highway 50 and North State Road in Flora. On January 11, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Cardinal Lane and Ruff Road in
Louisville for a suspicious subject. As a result of this investigation, Kyle T.
Adler, 45, of Farina, was issued citation(s) for Operating Uninsured Motor
Vehicle, Failure to Reduce Speed, Transport/Carry/Alcohol Liquor/Driver and
Unlawful Possession of Cannabis by Driver. On January 12, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single motor vehicle accident in the
area of Old Highway 50 and Dogwood Road in Xenia. As a result of this
investigation Theron D. Arnold, 54, of Alma, was issued citation(s) for Leaving
the Scene, Failure to Give Notice of Accident, Failure to Reduce Speed and
Improper Traffic Lane Usage. On January 13, Jordan
K. Hemrich, 29, of Olney, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a
Contempt of Court on the original charge(s) of Possession of Controlled
Substance and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Hemrich was transported
to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. On January 14, Taylor
R. Pride, 24, of Clay City, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for
a Contempt of Court on the original charge (s) of Aggravated Battery of a Peace
Officer and Resisting a Peace Officer. Pride was transported to the Clay County
Sheriff’s Office. On January 17, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cody L. Cook, 40, of Rinard, was arrested on a
Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of
Theft. Cook was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. On January 17, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brody L. R. Hall, 25, of Flora, was arrested
on a Clay County Warrant ($5,000.00 10% plus $75.00 FTA Fee) for a Failure to
Appear on the original charge of Theft. Hall was transported to the Clay County
Sheriff’s Office. On January 19, Murl A.
Bridges Jr, 41, of Fairfield, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond)
for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Unlawful Failure to Register
as Violent Offender Against Youth. Bridges was transported to the Clay County
Sheriff’s Office. On January 21, Ryan M.
Staton, 43, of Flora, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a
Contempt of Court on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of
Methamphetamine. Staton was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. On January 22, Tyler J.
Stewart, 38, of Effingham, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for
a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Driving on Revoked License.
Stewart was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. On January 25, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of
Fairfield Road and Popeberry Lane. As a result of this investigation, Cameron
B. Walden, 26, was issued citation(s) for Driver Failure to give Notice of
Accident and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. There were no reported
injuries. On January 25, Whitney
L. Gosnell, 30, of Buckner, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for
a Petition to Revoke on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of
Methamphetamine. Gosnell was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. On January 28, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office issued citation(s) to Terry R. Lee, 54, of Fairfield,
for No Valid Registration, Operate Uninsured Motor Vehicle and No Valid Driver
License as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Big Four Road and Wilcox
Bridge Lane in Clay City. On January 29, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of
Front Street and Main Street in Xenia. As a result of this investigation,
Morgan N. Hensley, 33, of Xenia, was issued citation for Improper Lane Usage.
There were no reported injuries. On January 31, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Water Lily Road in Clay
City for a criminal damage complaint. As a result of this investigation Chris
M. Prather, 34, of Clay City, was arrested for Criminal Damage to Property.
Prather was issued a Notice to Appear and released. On February 2, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Lacy J. Green, 43, of Kinmundy, for
Speeding as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Highway 45 and Palm Lane
in Flora. On February 2, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Timothy R. Morton, 36, of West
Salem, for Speeding as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Big Four Road
and Day Flower Lane in Clay City. On February 3, Michael
W. Diggs, 64, of Calhoun, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a
Contempt of Court on the original charge of Driving while License Revoked.
Diggs was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. On February 3, Wally L.
West, 60, of La Clede, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a
Contempt of Court on the original charge(s) of Driving while License Revoked
and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. West was transported to the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office. On February 4, Sandy R.
Harris, 48, of Harrisburg, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant ($3,500.00 10%
plus $75.00 FTA Fee) for a Failure to Appear on the original charge for
Possession of Methamphetamine. Harris was unable to post bond and transported
to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. On February 6, the Clay
County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Shaillyah A. Pickett, 24, of
Colombus, Georgia, for Speeding as a result of a traffic stop in the area of
Highway 45 and Iola Lane in Louisville. On February 6, Jason J.
White, 43, of Iuka, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a
Contempt of Court on the original charge of Driving while License Revoked.
White was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. THE CHARGE IS MERELY AN
ACCUSATION AND THE DEFENDANT IS PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
