Wilma Kuhlig, age 95, of Newport, Tennessee, and formerly of Flora, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

Wilma enjoyed the yearly cookout for the Cocke County Sheriff’s Department and loved to read.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Jerusha “Neddo” Morris, and husband, Charles “Spud” Kuhlig.

She is survived by her daughter, Della (Dale) Jones; nephews and special friend who will serve as pallbearers, Ben Morris, John Kuhlig, Mike Smulterowicz and Denny Shue; also several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2025, at Manes Funeral Home in Newport, Tennessee.  There will be a visitation in Flora, Illinois, from 2 until 3 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.  A procession to Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville will follow with a graveside ceremony officiated by Pastor Mark Smith.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
